Strategy & Policy Development
I work with senior teams, boards and academic leaders to develop university-wide strategies, frameworks, and action plans. Whether the focus is learning and teaching, access and participation, academic governance or quality assurance, I bring external insight and sector-wide knowledge to internal priorities – helping you produce documents that are well-argued, proportionate and implementable.
This includes support for teaching excellence, continuous quality enhancement cycles including programme monitoring and data insight and the design of enhancement-led strategic initiatives. Â
Quality, Governance and Regulatory Compliance
Much of my recent work supports providers to meet the expectations of the Office for Students and the wider regulatory landscape with confidence. I help institutions prepare for registration, Degree Awarding Powers and quality and standards review, and I work with boards and executive teams to strengthen academic governance so that assurance is robust whilst remaining proportionate. My focus is on building internal capacity rather than dependency, leaving teams better placed to sustain compliance for themselves.

Race Equality and EDI
I have helped institutions prepare robust submissions for Race Equality Charter and similar EDI-focused reviews. My work is values-led and sensitive to institutional context. I offer tailored support to engage staff and students meaningfully, analyse barriers and enablers, and produce focused, evidence-based actions – not just statements of intent.
Student Transitions & Educational Equity
I’ve supported providers in strengthening their offerings to students from diverse and non-traditional backgrounds. From rethinking induction and retention to designing inclusive curricula and evaluating the student experience, my approach combines rigour with practical understanding.
This includes:
- Curriculum design to support student belonging, progression and inclusive pedagogy
- Strengthening student partnership, feedback loops and co-creation
- Working with academic and professional services teams to enhance delivery
- Identifying priority groups for targeted support

I tailor each engagement to your needs, whether as a critical friend, policy writer, project lead or independent evaluator. I can work with you on a retained basis, via a defined project, or as part of a larger review team.
In addition to my work across the UK sector, I’ve also undertaken international consultancy in Central Asia, Europe and Russia, adapting approaches to suit local contexts while aligning with global quality frameworks.
